JRM Advanced Engineering, a Northamptonshire-based firm that has worked with Jaguar Land Rover, Subaru, and Nissan, has entered administration. The company, which specialises in high-performance chassis development and suspension solutions for motorsport, aerospace, and marine industries, appointed Gary Pettit of PBC Business Recovery and Insolvency as administrator on February 12.
The administrator is now seeking a buyer for the business, with several parties already expressing interest. Operations are paused while the financial position is reviewed, and the goal is to secure a sale that would allow trading to restart and protect jobs. It is not yet clear whether any redundancies will occur.
In its prime, JRM operated as a Tier 1 supplier with contracts including Jaguar Land Rover, Arctic Trucks, Subaru, and Nissan Nismo. The company also built advanced powertrains, including hydrogen fuel cell technology, and contributed to the development of an all-new battery-electric sports car. Notably, it delivered a concept for Caterham's Project V electric vehicle, featuring lightweight double-wishbone suspension.
