A 1977 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I, which has covered just 604 miles from new, is set to be auctioned by H&H Classics. The car was owned from new by the same individual and spent most of its life in storage.
According to H&H Classics, the vehicle accumulated 590 miles in its first few months before being stored in 1993. It was briefly used for a family wedding in 1998, adding the final 14 miles. Since then, it has been kept in a climate-controlled garage on axle stands, with a tailored cover protecting its paintwork.
The sale includes the original book pack, the initial sales invoice from dealer P.J Evans in Birmingham, and full MOT certificates. The auction house describes it as a 'time warp' example that is 'surely unrepeatable'.
Senior motor car specialist Paul Cheetham said: 'We’re thrilled to be auctioning this time warp Rolls-Royce, surely unrepeatable considering its mileage, ownership and originality.' He added that while Silver Shadows were built in large numbers, he doubted another as good would come to market.
The car underwent gentle recommissioning in May 2026, including a cleaned fuel system, new fuel pump, filters, hoses, and battery. It started willingly and ran well during a photograph session, but more thorough recommissioning is needed before it can return to the road.
H&H Classics estimates the car will sell for between £70,000 and £90,000. It will be on view on 16 and 17 June before the auction at 12pm on 17 June at Kelham Hall, Nottinghamshire.
