Arthur Fery's Net Worth Soars at Wimbledon Payday

Arthur Fery has become Britain's last hope at Wimbledon, advancing to the fourth round after a five-set victory over Zizou Bergs. The 23-year-old, ranked 114th in the world, is the first British male wildcard to reach this stage in 33 years. For his efforts, Fery has already banked £300,000, and a win against Grigor Dimitrov would push his earnings to £480,000. Before Wimbledon in 2026, Fery had earned £245,000.

Family Background and Wealth

Fery's father, Loic Fery, is a self-made millionaire with a net worth of £275 million. Loic purchased Ligue 1 club Lorient in 2009 at age 35, having learned from former Sunderland owner Ellis Short, whose son played junior tennis with Arthur. A friendship with Arsene Wenger also proved advantageous. Loic sold Lorient in January to Black Knight Football Club but remains as president.

Discussing his journey, Loic said in 2021: "I learned from Ellis, seeing everything that he went through with Sunderland and those misadventures. His son played some tennis with Arthur so I got to know him." He added: "I grew up playing tennis, it was my sport, I was playing regional level competitions until I was 16."
