According to job site Indeed, the role has seen the largest increase in job postings, driven by the surging popularity of the exercise. Celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Hailey Bieber, and David Beckham have contributed to the trend, with studios opening across the country. The average salary for a Pilates instructor is £54,644.

Second on the list is principal software engineer, which is also the highest-paying role with an average salary of £68,461. It is followed by traffic manager and school principal positions. The data is based on the largest increase in job postings on Indeed, with all hourly wages annualised to calculate full-time equivalent salaries.

Last year’s list was topped by school teacher, which saw a 245% increase in job adverts due to teacher shortages in England. Property solicitor came second with a 111% rise, followed by commercial director at 108%. The highest-paying role in 2025 was paediatrician, with an average salary of £106,048 and a 91% increase in vacancies.
