Rangers launch £3.9m bid for Partizan captain Dragojevic

Rangers have launched a £3.9m bid for Partizan Belgrade captain Vanja Dragojevic, according to Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport. The Ibrox side is seeking its sixth signing of the summer under manager Derek McInnes, who has been reshaping the squad with new arrivals.

Rangers' summer spending spree continues

McInnes has already added Dan Neil, Ivor Pandur, Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCrorie, and Ben Godfrey to his squad. The £3.9m offer for Dragojevic, a defensive midfielder, would be the latest addition. The 20-year-old has captained Partizan since last summer and has earned two caps for Serbia.

Partizan holding out for higher fee

Partizan is reportedly resigned to losing Dragojevic but is demanding £4.7m (€5.5m) plus a percentage of any future transfer fee. Dragojevic's contract includes a £12.9m (€15m) release clause, but the club acknowledges that figure is unlikely to be met.

Mozzart Sport reports that Rangers have already submitted the bid, but negotiations are ongoing as Partizan seeks a better deal. The Serbian club is under no immediate pressure to sell but is expected to let the player move on.
