Kenneth Stevenson MP has expressed gratitude to local employers, jobseekers, and Job Centre Plus following the success of the Airdrie and Shotts Employers Event, held at Cairnlea Parish Church in Airdrie. The event, organised in partnership between the MP and Job Centre Plus, attracted over 200 attendees, highlighting the strong demand for employment and training opportunities in the area.
Event Details and Participation
More than 20 employers from a wide range of sectors participated, offering local residents the chance to explore vacancies, training opportunities, and career pathways. Attendees were able to speak directly with recruiters and employers, fostering direct connections that can aid in securing employment or further training.

Commenting on the event, Mr Stevenson said: “I was delighted to host this Employers Event in partnership with Job Centre Plus and would like to thank everyone who helped make it such a success. Bringing good jobs and opportunities to Airdrie and Shotts is something I am passionate about. Events like this give local people the chance to meet employers face-to-face, learn about vacancies and training opportunities, and take positive steps towards their future careers.”
