Love Island's George Knight: Footballer Earnings Revealed

Love Island bombshell George Knight has returned to social media after his dramatic villa exit. Away from the cameras, George is a footballer. Love Island fans might be curious about former Islander George Knight's actual earnings after he showed off his five-figure "beloved" Porsche.

The 28 year old arrived at the Love Island villa as a bombshell in a dramatic turn during the closing moments of the very first episode. In a programme first, he and bombshell Yasmin were both given the task of selecting the initial Islanders for elimination - and they could provide any justification.

Throughout his brief stint in the villa, George managed to capture attention, developing connections with several other Islanders, including Liverpool DJ Robyn. Nevertheless, just six days later it was reported that George had departed the Villa as a spokesperson confirmed: "For private reasons, George has left the Love Island villa."

Circumstances surrounding his abrupt departure remained confidential at the time, though George has subsequently revealed that he received a telephone call from home, prompting his decision to leave. He disclosed that a family member faced a health issue that he felt compelled to return home for, though it seems he has since rekindled things with Robyn following her elimination from the Island, reports OK!.

Following his departure, George has been spotted giving interviews to the press, disclosing everything about his exit. He has also resumed his social media activity - but what does George genuinely earn given he was spotted flaunting a five-figure Porsche? Away from the spotlight, the blonde bombshell was a semi-professional footballer for Dorking Wanderers FC.

Wages for players can differ dramatically between clubs and divisions. Though, players from Dorking's tier typically pocket between £400 and £1,000 per week. This would amount to between £20,800 and £52,000 annually, with the precise figure remaining unclear. It remains uncertain whether George will pen terms with a fresh club following his brief spell in the Villa.

In a recent clip, posted on his own Instagram account, George revealed he was a "part time footballer and part time tech sales" while showing off his 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo. Discussing his motor he said: "Here is my beloved 911 996 Turbo." Acknowledging he's been surrounded by that type of car "pretty much my entire life", through his family, he later added the automatic feature "made it affordable for me."

According to reports, a 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo could typically cost you between £38,000 to £55,000 on the second-hand market. Posting the footage on social media, Drivers Journal captioned their post: "The first water-cooled Porsche 911 Turbo. A true modern classic. @georgewknight takes us through his pride and joy - a 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo. Combining everyday usability with supercar-rivalling performance, the 996 Turbo remains one of the most underrated and capable 911s ever built. A huge thank you to George for sharing his fantastic car with us."

Love Island airs every Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
