Arsenal target Ayyoub Bouaddi demands key role, Al Diraiyah bid £17m for Trossard
Arsenal: Bouaddi demands key role, Trossard bid made

Arsenal's summer transfer activity is intensifying as the window opened two weeks ago, with the club yet to announce any first-team arrivals despite behind-the-scenes work. Manager Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen central midfield, left wing, and striker positions, potentially spending close to the record £250 million outlay from last year.

Bouaddi's transfer stance

Arsenal target Ayyoub Bouaddi will only consider clubs that guarantee him a "key role," according to The Athletic. The 18-year-old Lille midfielder has been linked with Arsenal and Real Madrid, and is currently representing Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, where his performances have drawn attention.

Arsenal sporting director Berta had already initiated contact with Bouaddi's representatives earlier this year, football.london reports, recognizing the player as a world-class talent. However, Berta would need to assure consistent playing time to convince Bouaddi to leave Lille, who have qualified for the Champions League. Lille have placed a £68.9 million valuation on Bouaddi, who has made 96 appearances for the French side. Any transfer will wait until after the World Cup.

Approach made for Trossard

Saudi Pro League side Al Diraiyah have submitted a £17 million bid for Leandro Trossard, according to Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad. The 31-year-old Belgium international, also at the World Cup, has 12 months left on his Arsenal contract.

Al Diraiyah, promoted to Saudi Arabia's top flight, view Trossard as a top target under sporting director Dougie Freedman. They are reportedly willing to offer Trossard a deal worth almost £9 million per year, described as a 'monster' offer. Other clubs linked include Aston Villa, Besiktas, and Newcastle United. Trossard has 36 goals and 34 assists in 174 games for Arsenal.
