Richard Gere's son Homer is carving out a career in Hollywood, following in his famous father's footsteps with racy roles. The 26-year-old currently stars in season three of Euphoria, and in Sunday's episode, he appeared in a jaw-dropping sex scene with Sydney Sweeney.
Homer plays fictional TV star Dylan Reid in the HBO series, where he gets seduced by Sweeney's character Cassie Jacobs. Unlike Sweeney, Homer did not appear completely naked, but he simulated an X-rated act before walking around in his underwear.
His father, Richard Gere, is no stranger to pushing boundaries on screen, most notably in 1980's American Gigolo, where he played a high-end male escort. The film featured full frontal nudity, and Gere later appeared nude in 1983's Breathless and had steamy scenes with Kim Basinger in 1986's No Mercy.
Homer has already impressed HBO viewers with his supporting role, with many praising his looks on social media. One fan said, "I would prefer a man like that a thousand times over those gym-pumped ones." Another wrote, "Love this type of male body because it's so real and so guy next door." Homer graduated from Brown University with a degree in psychology and visual arts, but his true passion appears to be acting. In a 2024 interview, Richard Gere admitted that Homer "doesn't understand" his fame and has not seen many of his films. "He doesn't understand it," Gere told Vanity Fair Spain. "It is also very difficult for him to see me on the screen because even if I play an extreme character, I am still his father."
Homer is the oldest of Gere's three children. Gere shares Homer with ex-wife Carey Lowell, and he also has two young boys, Alexander and James, with current wife Alejandra Silva, who is 33 years his junior. The family lives in Spain, while Homer is based in Los Angeles for his career.
