Wolf of West London Trader Denies Stalking Ex-Girlfriend

A cryptocurrency trader who calls himself the 'Wolf of West London' has pleaded not guilty to stalking his former girlfriend. Lance Gittens-Bernard, aged 38, is set to stand trial over allegations that he repeatedly contacted Marta Ostrah through phone calls, text messages, and various social media platforms starting from September 15 last year.

Allegations of Harassment and Legal Proceedings

Prosecutors assert that Gittens-Bernard also harassed Ms. Ostrah by showing up at both her residential and workplace addresses on multiple occasions. However, the defendant, who identifies as a trader and motivational speaker, contends that his actions were solely aimed at returning her personal items following the end of their eight-year romantic relationship.

Additional Charge and Court Appearance

Gittens-Bernard additionally denies a separate charge of cannabis possession after allegedly being found with the substance on November 20, 2025. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court this week, dressed in a black suit, burgundy tie, and glasses, to face these accusations.

Prosecutor Sarah Madden emphasized the severity of the case, stating, 'This is a serious case involving serious alarm or distress.' She noted that Gittens-Bernard was initially held in custody and only released on bail after a successful appeal, with the judge expressing reluctance in granting it.

Defence Arguments and Trial Details

Defence lawyer Anisa Kebbati argued that the prosecution has failed to provide crucial evidence for the trial, including text messages and other materials. She explained, 'He had just come out of an eight-year relationship. Coming off the back of that relationship, the defendant was just trying to get her items back to her. This is a man with his own business, he is an entrepreneur.'

Kebbati further revealed that only two statements from the complainant have been served so far, with no response to requests for additional evidence. Magistrate Maeve Bromwich questioned the absence of text messages, to which Kebbati confirmed, 'None. A substantial volume of material has been generated in this case. There has been, at present, no response to letters or emails to serve the material.'

Background and Future Hearings

Gittens-Bernard describes himself on LinkedIn as an 'FX and cryptocurrency trader, motivational speaker, trader educator, community broker and tycoon.' He also claims to have founded The Wolf Of West London Trading School. His trial is scheduled for June 15, with a case management hearing set for March 31 to address procedural matters and evidence disclosure.
