Wild Shore Delamere in Cheshire has been drawing crowds during the hot weather with its lake-based activities including an inflatable Aqua Park and an Aqua Chimp floating obstacle course.
Aqua Chimp and Aqua Park
The Aqua Chimp features zip wires, rope swings, climbing walls, and rope bridges with different coloured runs for varying abilities. Participants aged eight and over with a minimum height of 1.2m can tackle the course. Falls are inevitable and part of the fun, with ladders to get back on.
The Aqua Park is a giant inflatable course with Ninja Warrior-style features like Tire Run, Ninja-Jump, and Eagles Nest, plus a 3.8m inflatable tower called Mount Rainier. Sessions last 50 minutes. Children from age six and minimum height 1.1m can join if they can swim 25 metres; under eights require an adult at a ratio of one adult to three kids.
Other Activities and Facilities
Ringo sessions allow groups of up to three on a circular inflatable pulled by a cable across the lake, with instructors shouting challenges. Paddle boarding and wakeboarding are also available, with new sessions for first-timers. A recently opened lakeside sauna offers timed sessions for warming up after cold water plunges.
The on-site Wild Shack Cafe serves pizzas from £9, burgers, paninis, hot dogs from £6, milkshakes, waffles, and ice cream. Hot drinks start at £3.25. A kids party package costs £8 per head, and families can book the Wild Hut for up to 12 people.
