Reality TV personality Stephen Bear has been sentenced to 16 months' immediate imprisonment for repeatedly breaching a restraining order against Georgia Harrison. The sentence was handed down at Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday.
Breach of Restraining Order
Bear, accompanied by his partner Miami, was found guilty of harassment by breaching the order that was part of his 2023 conviction for recording and sharing a sex tape of Harrison without her consent. The Crown Prosecution Service said the Celebrity Big Brother winner violated the order by publishing social media posts about Harrison.
Judge Morgan stated: "You know what the terms of the order was. You understood the consequences and over a prolonged period you deliberately breached the court order. The sentence I impose must be immediate."
Court Details
The court heard that Bear received increased online attention after Harrison appeared on a prominent podcast discussing the case. Ms Deri Molyneux, representing Bear, said: "In July 2025 after the appearance on a high-profile podcast where proceedings were discussed he received a significant number of notifications and online comments."
Molyneux also detailed personal difficulties Bear was facing, presented as a mitigating circumstance. Bear appeared to weep in the dock during this discussion.
Victim Impact
Harrison submitted a victim personal statement, read to the court by Ms Kutner, outlining the "profound impact" of Bear's conduct. The statement said: "It causes me significant distress, anxiety and fear during my pregnancy which would make me worry about the baby. He's attempted to control the narrative around my life again. His online presence makes me petrified as I perceive him to be angry."
Harrison described Bear as "relentless with the abuse". Bear arrived at court with his pregnant wife Miami, telling onlookers "wish me luck, guys". The couple announced in March they are expecting their first child.
Aftermath
Bear showed no obvious emotion as the sentence was delivered and was escorted to the cells. His wife and mother, in the public gallery, looked visibly distressed.
Following the sentencing, Harrison commended Essex Police, saying: "Essex Police took me seriously when so many women in my position are overlooked. They treated this as the serious crime it is – not a celebrity story. It is a real offence against a real person. They built the case properly, they stayed with it, and when the order was breached, they acted instead of shrugging. From the messages I get every day, I know how rare that still is. If every force treated this the way Essex Police did, thousands of women would feel safer today."
