The eye-watering Powerball jackpot has rolled over again, and if a Brit wins it this weekend, they would become the biggest lotto winner ever in the UK. The prize has soared to an incredible £444 million after rolling over for a 41st consecutive draw.

Players have until 11.55pm on Saturday, August 8, to buy a ticket from a National Lottery vendor or online. The jackpot would make you as rich as Sir Mick Jagger, said to be worth £450 million, and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton, worth £435 million. You would also dwarf film star Tom Holland, said to be worth £37 million, Lewis Capaldi at £35 million, and Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury worth £22.1 million.
Record-Breaking Rollover
The current rollover is one of the longest in Powerball history, with the record standing at 47 consecutive draws. That winner ended up taking home £1.3 billion in America on Christmas Eve last year. The current UK lottery record was set when an anonymous EuroMillions winner banked £195 million in 2022.
What You Could Buy
Bagging the £444 million would mean you could buy pretty much anything you wanted. The lucky winner could sail the world several times over in complete luxury, easily affording the world's most expensive cruise, which lasts 140 days, visiting 71 ports across 40 countries and six continents. A bed on the luxury ship Regent Seven Seas Cruises will set you back around £80,000 per person, up to a staggering £620,000 for the top-tier Regent Suite.
The winner could also afford to buy the world's most expensive recorded car, the Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail, which sold for an astonishing £23 million, or pick a plush pad in the capital. The most expensive house sale ever recorded in London is Providence House in Chelsea, which sold in early 2026 for £275 million, which would still leave the winner with at least half their fortune left.
How to Play
UK punters wanting a go at the massive prize must purchase tickets by 11:55pm on Monday, Wednesday, or Saturday for the following draw, which takes place in Florida during the early hours. Taking part is straightforward – select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Punters can choose a Lucky Dip where numbers are selected randomly, with tickets priced at £4 per line.
Odds and Payout
The odds of matching all six numbers are 1 in 292,201,338. But there have been some numbers drawn more than others since Powerball increased its white ball pool from 59 to 69 and reduced its Powerball pool from 35 to 26 in 2015.
Winners won't collect their prize in one go – Powerball winnings are distributed across 30 annual instalments. Should multiple winners match all numbers across participating countries, the jackpot will be divided amongst them.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at Allwyn, who offers support to winners bagging £50,000 or more, said that Powerball represents a "massive opportunity" for UK players to get involved in the game. He said: "Powerball is the biggest lottery in the world. If you like, the UK is joining it as the 49th state. The jackpot has no limit. There's no cap to how it can grow... Theoretically, someone could win £1billion in this country."
Since 2021, the jackpot has rolled over to $1 billion on six occasions. On one of those occasions, it rolled over to more than $2 billion.
