Love Island's Jasmine Muller has made a telling admission about her former partner Lorenzo Alessi after finishing in second place with Kavan Murphy on the ITV dating show.
Lorenzo, 28, and Julia Majchrzak were crowned winners of Love Island 2026, beating runners-up Kavan, 21, and Jasmine, 27, and third-placed couple Simba Kudyiwa, 24, and Angelista Gunda, 24. The winners shared a £50,000 prize, and ITV revealed that Julia and Lorenzo secured nearly 50% of the public vote.
Jasmine's Admission About Lorenzo
In a post-final interview with ITV, Jasmine was asked which day she would relive in the villa. She said: "I would say the day Kav came in. I felt a massive shift for me that day. I wasn't sure on my connection with Lorenzo. I felt really excited that night. I thought 'I need to look 10/10 tonight.'"
Jasmine had been initially partnered with Lorenzo before both found love elsewhere.
Viewer Reaction to Finale Moment
During Monday's finale, after the winners were announced, many islanders rushed to congratulate Lorenzo and Julia. However, some viewers noted that Jasmine did not hug Julia, though she did congratulate Lorenzo.
One viewer tweeted: "You see the way Jasmine aired Julia and didn't hug her she's angry that she didn't win #loveisland". Another added: "Jasmine couldn't have made it any clearer that she doesn't like Julia! #loveisland."
Other comments included: "did jasmine and julia hug ? ? #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK" and "Ya'll peep Jasmine SWERVING hugging Julia just then? ? ? #loveisland #loveislanduk." Some critics claimed "Jasmine not even hugging Julie we love to see it" and "jasmine not hugging julia ?"
However, some viewers defended Jasmine. One said: "jasmine went to hug julia but maya intercepted you lot are so weird #loveisland". Another wrote: "So now they are having a go at Jasmine for not hugging Julia, are you guys alright? ? You just need to criticise everything don't you? It's the nerves of the moment, I'm sure she has already congratulated her. #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK."
Love Island is available on ITV and ITV X.
