Tonight, Saturday, July 11, the National Lottery Lotto draw offers a jackpot of £6.6 million. One lucky player could win the entire sum by matching all six numbers drawn.
How the New Lotto Draw Works
Since last month, each Lotto draw now consists of two separate rounds. All players are automatically entered into both draws with a single £2 ticket. In the first round, a set of 59 balls is used; six balls are drawn plus the Bonus Ball. Matching two or more numbers from your Lotto line wins a cash prize. Then, a second set of 59 balls is used for the second draw, with the same rules applying.
Matching five main numbers plus the bonus ball wins £1,000,000, while matching five main numbers secures £1,750. Smaller prizes are awarded for matching two or more numbers in either round.
Thunderball Draw and Timing
In addition to the Lotto, the Thunderball draw offers a top prize of £500,000. It takes place at 8.15pm, shortly after the Lotto draw at 8pm. Tickets for both draws must be purchased by 7.30pm. Thunderball tickets also cost £2.
Lotto draws occur every Wednesday and Saturday. EuroMillions draws are held on Tuesday and Friday, and Set For Life draws take place every Monday and Thursday.
