Kyle Walker and Annie Kilner have shared the first picture of their daughter, who was born last month. The Burnley FC defender and his wife Annie welcomed their first daughter together, and have now given fans a glimpse of the newborn.
In a black-and-white photo posted on Instagram, Annie is seen cradling their baby girl. The caption read "worth the wait" accompanied by pink heart and star emojis. The couple, who are childhood sweethearts from Sheffield, have four sons together: Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and Rezon, one.
Announcement and Family Joy
Last month, Annie announced the birth on Instagram Stories, saying: "Our precious baby girl is here safe. Speechless with the amount of love we all feel and the joy she's already brought to our family." She added: "Would have liked to enjoy our private family time together for a bit longer, but we know news travels fast. Hoping now we have announced our special news, everyone respects our request for privacy as we enjoy these special moments."
Prior to the public announcement, a source told The Sun: "Kyle and Annie are over the moon to have welcomed a little girl into the family home. Kyle didn't leave Annie's side, they are just on cloud nine ready to begin this new chapter."
Growing Family
Kyle is now a father of seven children. In February, Annie revealed they were expecting a girl, writing on social media: "We're delighted to be expecting our baby girl. I won't be entertaining any speculation or drama around such a personal, private and happy moment for me and my family!"
The couple reportedly shared news of the pregnancy with their families over Christmas. A source said: "Annie is a devoted mum, and she is so excited to be bringing another child into the world. For her and Kyle, this baby feels very much like it was meant to be. They've never been closer, and they are so excited for their family to grow."
Background
Last year, reports suggested Annie was pursuing a divorce from Kyle due to infidelities, but the Mirror confirmed this wasn't accurate. Sources close to the couple in Cheshire dismissed any suggestion that Annie was staying with Kyle for financial reasons as "nonsense." Claims also surfaced that Annie was putting proceedings on hold amid discussions about Kyle's potential move to Saudi Arabia, where he could have earned upwards of £400,000 weekly. Instead, Kyle joined Burnley.
