Hannah Waddingham celebrated the Ted Lasso season four premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, just before her 52nd birthday. She wore a beige minidress decorated with gold flowers and strappy metallic heels, later adding chunky black sunglasses. Her new boyfriend, Nick Beresford-Cleary, joined her on the red carpet at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
Cast Reunites for Fourth Season
The event brought together the AFC Richmond cast, including Jason Sudeikis, Juno Temple, Jeremy Swift, and Brendan Hunt. The fourth season premieres on Apple TV+ on August 5, three years after the third season ended. Ted Lasso returns to coach the women's team.
Hannah's Character Arc and Personal Life
Hannah teased Rebecca's storyline in Marie Claire: 'This is the first season where she's really stepping into her own happiness. Not only with her partner, but she's stepping into being the figurehead of that team more than ever, championing the women's team and championing funding.'
She also spoke about her relationship, saying, 'I didn't really have the space mentally or emotionally for that. I've hunkered down and focused on my girl and me. [But] now I'm ready to stick my head above the parapet a bit more.'
Reflecting on her daughter in a 2024 interview with People, Hannah said: 'Undeniably my daughter. Undeniably. She has changed me for the better. I'm so rooted by her in my life. I always describe her as my zero, like a bungee rope. I go off and do things, but she's my zero. She's my anchor.'
