Foo Fighters Launch Anfield Take Cover Tour
Foo Fighters are set to bring their Take Cover tour to Anfield Stadium, performing the first of two highly-anticipated shows at the home of Liverpool FC today, Thursday, June 25, followed by a second show on Saturday, June 27.
Band Origins and Success
Foo Fighters were initially started as a one-man project for Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl after the band's frontman Kurt Cobain died in 1994. He recruited members and the band made their live debut in 1995. From there, they have had global success, with huge rock anthems such as "All My Life", "Best of You", and "My Hero".
Dave Grohl's Anfield History
This isn't the first time Foo Fighters frontman Dave has performed at Anfield as he joined Paul McCartney on stage in 2008 for the legendary Beatle's show in celebration of Capital of Culture. However, it will be the first time for the American band. The ECHO will be out at Anfield Stadium and in Liverpool city centre as Foo Fighters head to the show.
