On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers have pointed the finger at Nicola. One person said: "Nicola to kill Jimmy, you heard it here first." Another added: "Maybe. It's too obvious to be Sadie." A third chimed in: "Can't see Nicola committing a cold-blooded murder but maybe she kills him by accident?"
Jimmy's exit storyline
Jimmy, played by Nick Miles, has been a staple of the ITV soap since 2004. Reports in May suggested he would be killed off, and speculation has linked his departure to the return of Sadie King, played by Patsy Kensit. Producer Laura Shaw confirmed Kensit's return, stating her comeback is "guaranteed to shock."
Patsy Kensit has teased that Sadie has a "big secret" connected to the King family. However, fans believe the twist could involve Nicola instead.
Jimmy's history in the Dales
Jimmy's time in the village has been marked by heartbreak, including the loss of his brothers and father. He has faced business rivalries, an arson attack that led to being stabbed by Daz Eden, and the breakdown of his marriage to Sadie before marrying Nicola.
In 2024, Jimmy supported his nephew Tom's wife, Belle Dingle, after Tom abused her. Jimmy eventually confronted Tom and supported Belle during the trial.
