A cowboy on horseback has been spotted riding through the streets of London to promote Subway's new menu item. The fast food chain celebrated the release of its Buttermilk Ranch sauce by unleashing its own Ranch Ranger in South London, who hand-delivered the new Chicken Nacho Ranch Sub.
Cowboy Outfit and Delivery
Show jumper Fabian Williams wore a custom double denim outfit with Western fringe, gold studded detailing, and Subway's signature green and yellow. He carried a holster stocked with the Buttermilk Ranch sauce as he trotted through the city.
Growing Demand for Ranch Dressing
Subway introduced the creamy condiment nationwide in response to the UK's increasing appetite for ranch dressing following the World Cup. Many discovered it for the first time this summer, sparking thousands of online reactions and a 20% increase in search interest over the last month.
In the US, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) warned fans not to smuggle the dressing in carry-on luggage, leading to demands for it in the UK. One person on X wrote: "Why did no one tell me about ranch sauce?" Another quipped: "Who's going to start the ranch pipeline to Europe?"
Subway's Response

The Buttermilk Ranch sauce is available now at participating Subway restaurants across the UK. The new Chicken Nacho Ranch Sub combines rotisserie-style chicken, Doritos, double mozzarella and cheddar with the creamy Buttermilk Ranch sauce.
