In the latest episode, Cassie exposed Ross's secret: he had paid her for sex when she was just 15 years old. The revelation left residents reeling, and Cassie sobbed as she opened up to Tyrone. She believed she had gotten rid of Ross for good, but he took violent action.
At the end of the episode, Ross sneaked up on Cassie in an alley, pinned her against a wall, and shouted threats in her face. He warned her to stop interfering and then threatened to kill her, leaving viewers fearing for her safety.

Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie, has quit the role after three years. Her final episodes will air next week. Spoilers have revealed that Ross offers Cassie a lift but speeds off with the doors locked, raising questions about her whereabouts.
Actress Claire Sweeney teased a possible return, saying: "She feels she has absolutely no choice. She has been rejected by the love of her life, Steve, and everyone else has turned their backs on her. She feels her life there has been destroyed. The only option left is to take that job on the cruise ship. Whether she actually makes it to that ship or what happens when Ross takes her—that’s the beauty of it. No one knows, and it's left wonderfully open."
