Clarkson to return in Grand Tour reboot cameos

Jeremy Clarkson is set to appear in a reboot of The Grand Tour, alongside Richard Hammond and James May, as the show returns with new hosts. The trio will make cameo appearances in the new series, which debuts on Friday, September 4, to help "pass the baton on" to YouTubers Thomas Holland and James Engelsma, who will host season seven.

Millionaire repeats pause for football

Meanwhile, a repeat episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? will air this evening, Wednesday, August 5, at 9pm on ITV, with Clarkson as host. However, the quiz show will not be shown next Wednesday, August 12, as ITV will instead broadcast live pre-season football coverage from 7pm, with a running time of almost three hours.

The broadcast will air the friendly match between Manchester United and Leeds United at Croke Park, Dublin. Hugh Woozencroft will lead the coverage, with analysis from John O'Shea and Michael Brown, and commentary from Sam Matterface and Lucy Ward.

Venue history

The official description notes: "Normally used for Gaelic sports, this is the first time this 80,000 capacity venue has hosted a club association football match, and while a friendly in name, it is likely to be a highly competitive contest given the historic rivalry between the teams."

Live Pre-season Football airs on Wednesday, August 12, from 7pm, on ITV.
