Woman says men scared of her because she is 'too hot'

Shirley Rosemary Flynn, 46, from Birmingham, says she has not been on a date for seven years because men are "scared" of her and she is "too hot". She claims her looks intimidate potential partners, and that she is taken more seriously when she wears dark hair rather than blonde wigs.

Blonde hair seen as 'sex symbol'

Flynn, who works in customer service, says she switches between wigs to alter her appearance and that men react differently depending on her look. She said: "Men have different preferences. I find that when I wear my blonde wigs men get turned on more, especially when blondes have big boobs like me."

She added: "Men don't take women with blonde hair seriously, just look at Sydney Sweeney, they tend to see them as sex symbols. When women have dark hair they're taken more seriously, men tend to find them more of a challenge."

Confidence and online attention

Flynn previously told Talk to the Press that women view her as a threat, while men find her a challenge to pursue. She believes middle-aged women online are envious of her self-assurance, but younger women "couldn't give two hoots", reports Birmingham Live.

She says she brushes off negativity, having placed second and third in online "hot competitions", and feels no need to justify that she has never gone under the knife. Flynn said: "If you look at any woman that's confident, Kim Kardashian, or Madonna, it was always the older women that seemed to have a problem."

Struggles in dating

Flynn says men fantasise about her but shy away when meetings are arranged. She said: "Men fantasise about me, but if we arrange to link up, they tend to shy away. I try to meet older guys now, but they're just scared. They mix me up for my online character who is very strong, sexual, and powerful."

She described her real self as "laid back" and "chilled", adding that she enjoys gardening and art. The older men she attempts to meet "seem to run a mile", and she joked: "They're more loving and compassionate, but most don't have any hair or teeth."

Flynn is looking for someone who is honest and consistent. She said: "They probably just see me sort of like, as a man eater. There was a lot of them jokes in the last post that I did, because of me being a plus-size woman."

She claims younger men who contact her online appear to want just one thing, and that celebrities have attempted to arrange meetings but lose their nerve. Despite her struggles, she remains determined to find a partner seven years on, even though people doubt it has been that long.

She added: "I just think men think I'm lying and I'm not lying. I just wouldn't jump into it with anyone. I do have standards. No way could that knock me down though, why am I going to let these men get the better of me?"
