Tesco recalls F&F Glass Latte Mug over burn and injury risk

Tesco has issued an urgent recall notice for its F&F Glass Latte Mug, urging customers to stop using the product immediately. The supermarket confirmed that anyone with the affected item is entitled to a full refund.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) confirmed that Tesco has recalled the product due to the risk it poses. The OPSS said: "The product presents a risk of burns and injuries as it may shatter during use."

Risk of burns and injuries

The OPSS added: "If the glass mug breaks while containing a hot beverage, consumers could be burned by the hot liquid or injured by sharp glass fragments. The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005."

The mug was available for purchase from September 2025 to August 2026. It is described as a tall glass latte mug featuring a curved handle. The barcode is 05057967613311.

Refund instructions

The OPSS said: "The product has been recalled from end users by Tesco. If you have purchased the product, stop using it immediately and return it to any Tesco store for a full refund. No receipt is required."

Tesco statement

Tesco said: "As a precautionary measure, Tesco is recalling all batches of its F&F Home Glass Latte Mug purchased between September 2025 to August 2026 inclusive."

It added: "This is due to a manufacturing issue that may cause the glass mug to break during normal use, posing a risk of injury."

Tesco also said: "No other Tesco products are affected by this recall. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused."
