Two Premium Bonds holders in Wales each won £100,000 in the October draw, part of more than 100 big prize wins for the region. One winner from the Mid and South West Wales area held Bond 643JM637242, bought in September 2025 when they invested £20,000. They held the maximum £50,000 going into the draw. The other £100,000 prize went to a saver in North Wales with Bond 605QJ707391, purchased in November 2024 when they bought £10,000 of Bonds. They had £10,325 in Bonds going into the October draw.

Who won the £1million jackpots?
Each monthly draw includes two £1million jackpot prizes. This time they were won by customers from Somerset and East Sussex. The East Sussex winner held Bond 331QY484133, purchased in May 2018 when they bought £5,900 in Bonds, with a total holding of £50,000 going into the October draw. The Somerset winner held Bond 681KK770541, purchased in July 2026 when they bought £11,000 in Bonds, with a total holding of £16,000 going into the draw.
Premium Bonds rules changes
NS&I has made several changes to the Premium Bonds prize rules recently. Most recently, the provider increased the chances of winning a prize. From September, the odds of winning for each £1 Bond went up from 22,000 to one to 21,000 to one. The prize fund rate was also lifted from the September draw, up from 3.8 per cent to 4.35 per cent. This reversed earlier cuts, as NS&I previously reduced both the odds and the prize rate in April.
The rules have changed several times over 2026. Here is how NS&I has shifted the prize fund rate and odds of winning recently: September 2026 - 4.35 per cent - 21,000 to one; July 2026 - 3.80 per cent - 22,000 to one; April 2026 - 3.30 per cent (down from 3.6 per cent) - 23,000 to one (down from 22,000 to one).
