Britain's self-styled 'coupon king' Jordon Cox has shared a hack he claims can get a Nando's burger for £3.25 less. In a video posted to his social media on Saturday (September 26), Cox advised against ordering a chicken burger straight from the menu.
Instead of paying £8.75 for the burger, he suggests buying a grilled chicken breast and a toasted Portuguese roll separately. Placing the chicken inside the roll recreates the classic Nando's burger, he says, saving £3.25 in the process.
How the hack works
In the video, shared on his account @jordon_cox, Cox said: "Stop spending £8.75 on a Nando's burger, instead order the grilled chicken breast for £4.50 and a Portuguese bread roll that is toasted for a £1. Then if you just add it to the burger it only costs £5.50 which is £3.25 less than ordering it normally."
The tip has divided social media users, with several pointing out that the DIY version lacks items included in the standard burger. One user commented: "But you don't get the sauce or the salad, which is part of the burger."
Mixed reactions online
Another wrote: "It's missing the relish, mayo, lettuce and tomato that you get buying the burger though."
A third person added: "No lettuce, relish, sauce and only a single breast when the burger is two. Great hack mate."
