Norma Ashton

Norma Ashton (née Martin) passed away on June 20, 2026, at Promenade Care Home surrounded by her family. She was a devoted daughter of the late Helen and Roy Martin, much-loved mum to Clare, deeply missed grandma of Rebekah and Jessika, and proud great-grandma to Hollie and Sophie. A private funeral service will be held on July 6, 2026, at Eden Chapel. Donations are being accepted for Southport Centre for the Deaf.

George Barnard

George Barnard, known as Barney, died peacefully in hospital at age 79, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Jan and daughter Shelley. His funeral will be held at St Columba's Church, Anfield, on July 2 at 10:45 am, followed by burial at Anfield Cemetery. Family flowers only; donations to Cancer Research UK are welcome.

Jeanette Beaumont

Jeanette Beaumont (née Barlow), known as Nettie, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 8, 2026, at age 72. She was a loving mother, nan, sister, aunt, and friend. Her funeral will be held on June 29 at Springwood Crematorium.

Ann Bolton

Ann Bolton (née Colquitt) died at Woodlands Hospice on June 11, 2026, after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Mike and cherished mother of Michael, Daniel, Liam, Rachel, and Jennifer. A Requiem Mass will be held on July 3 at St Robert Bellarmine RC Church, Bootle, followed by cremation. Donations are requested for Woodlands Hospice.

Leslie Anthony Brandwood

Leslie Brandwood (Les) passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at age 88, surrounded by family. He was a much-loved husband to Mary for 67 years, father to Tony, Angela, Shirley, and Kerry. His funeral will be on July 10 at West Lancs Crematorium. Donations to Woodland Manor Care Home are welcome.

John Cain

Mary Collier (née Gregory) passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at age 88. She was a charming and loyal mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A celebration of her life will be held on July 9 at St Anthony of Padua Church, followed by interment at Allerton Cemetery. Family flowers only.

Richard John Hewson Coward

Michael Paul Dunne (Mick) passed suddenly at home on June 14, 2026, at age 59. He was a loving son to Betty and Tony (deceased), devoted dad to Emma, Michael, and Rachel, and dear grandad to 10 grandchildren. Francis Paul Eagle

Donald Fitzsimmons
