The Guardian is asking readers to share how hiring managers' good or bad practices have affected their job search. Whether you received helpful feedback or were left waiting without a response, we want to hear about your experience.
Share Your Experience
Applying for jobs can feel like a full-time job in itself, with unwieldy application forms and the pressure to write the perfect cover letter. Then there are the interviews – if you're lucky – and the inevitable post-mortem when you miss out on the role.
While it is never easy to be turned down for a post, the experience of rejection can vary wildly. Perhaps you received thoughtful, helpful feedback that buoyed you along in your job search. Or maybe you were left hanging, waiting to hear whether you'd been successful in the interview, only to be ghosted.
