The UK Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued an urgent recall for several Tower air fryer models due to a risk of overheating and fire. The affected products were sold at major retailers including Argos, B&M, and Tesco.
The recall covers models T17023, T17061BLK, T17067, and T17087, manufactured between January 2022 and April 2023. The OPSS stated that a manufacturing defect could cause the air fryers to overheat and ignite during use, failing to meet the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Consumers who purchased one of these models are advised to stop using it immediately and return it to the store for a full refund. The recall is part of a broader list of products flagged by the OPSS for serious safety risks, including items from Amazon, Wowcher, and M&S.
