Shoppers struggling to sleep in the summer heat are praising a £36 memory foam pillow from Dunelm, claiming it offers the “best night's sleep” they have had in years. The Gel Fusion Memory Foam Pillow, reduced from £45, is being touted as a far cheaper alternative to Emma’s premium Comfort Cooling Pillow Bundle, which costs £120.
Dunelm’s version includes pressure-relieving support that moulds to the body, alongside a built-in cooling pad. According to the product description, it matches the premium specifications of its more expensive rival. Buying two Dunelm pillows instead of one Emma bundle would save shoppers £48, without compromising on quality.
Emma’s bundle, currently on sale from £160 to £120 in a limited-time bank holiday deal, features phase-change cooling technology and adjustable layers for personalised height and firmness. The company describes it as offering “hotel-quality” comfort, a major draw for fussy sleepers.
Kally Sleep has also reduced the price of its cooling pillow, now £34.99, down from £44.99, saving customers £10.
Dunelm’s pillow has received more than 180 customer reviews, with one shopper writing: “Treated myself to need these in January and it easily the comfiest pillow I have ever owned.” Another added: “These are Amazing! My other half is delighted!” However, one three-star review noted a strong foam smell that took nearly a week to air out, though the reviewer admitted it was “surprisingly good” after that.
