Aldi's £20 Faux Fur Throw vs John Lewis' £150 Option
Aldi £20 Faux Fur Throw vs John Lewis £150 Option

Aldi has introduced a new homeware item that shoppers say looks similar to a luxury John Lewis throw costing £150, but at a fraction of the price. The Kirkton House Faux Fur Throw is priced at £19.99 and is available in Aldi stores while stocks last.

Similar Look, Different Price

The beige Faux Fur Throw from Aldi's Kirkton House collection shares similar features with John Lewis' Golden Brown Faux Fur Throw, which retails at £150. Both blankets measure 150cm x 200cm, making them suitable for double beds or sofas.

In the product description, Aldi says: "Add a touch of warmth and texture to your space with this super-soft design. Perfect for creating a cosy and inviting feel in any room."

Material and Care Differences

The Aldi throw is made from 100% polyester, which traps warm air close to the body. It is available in five colours: anthracite, white, beige, brown, or grey. In contrast, the John Lewis throw features a blend of acrylic and modacrylic, giving it a heavier drape and a high-shine finish.

John Lewis describes its product as: "A soft and luxurious faux fur throw to keep you cosy on cold winter nights, while adding a touch of glamour. Ideal for your bed."

Maintenance and Availability

For daily care, the Aldi throw is machine washable, making it practical for homes with pets or children. The John Lewis blanket is dry clean only to maintain its texture.

Shoppers can visit their nearest Aldi store to purchase the item, but as the supermarket notes, once it's gone, it's gone.
