Rangers are reportedly eyeing a loan move for Coventry City winger Jahnoah Markelo as they search for new wingers.
McInnes keen on wide reinforcements
Derek McInnes is keen to add more depth to his wide areas with the season opener against Dundee United just around the corner.
Brighton's Amario Cozier-Duberry is on the agenda and Record Sport understands official discussions have begun over a potential deal for the 21-year-old following the Premier League club's decision to boot out a £5million bid from Anderlecht.
Markelo loan talks underway
But the Light Blues are exploring other avenues and Sky Sports claim talks have taken place over a season-long loan deal for Markelo.
Rangers showed an interest in the attacker last year, prior to his €5m move from FC Zurich to Coventry in January. However, he could leave following their Premier League return.
Other targets considered
Vaclav Cerny is another name that Rangers have been considering. Record Sport understands the Ibrox club have been exploring the possibility of striking a deal with Besiktas for the 28-year-old.
It's understood the former Czech International is open to the prospect of a return to Ibrox after dropping down the pecking order, after Belgian international Leandro Trossard put pen to paper on a £17m switch from Arsenal.
Cerny future complicated by Salah saga
The wide man had been set to fall further down the pecking order with the Istanbul giants closing in on a mega deal for Mo Salah following his departure from Liverpool - but a move could be scuppered for Cerny by the latest development in the Egypt international's saga.
Speaking to Turkish media outlet 24 SAAT, Besiktas football director Onder Ozen confirmed that deal was off the table for Salah at this stage.
He said: "The president, by not making a populist decision, 'temporarily walked away' from the table."
"Keeping the club focused is more important than having a valuable athlete. The Salah case is currently on hold."
