Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to following an assault by a man dressed as a lobster at the World Darts Championship in London.
The victim, in his 20s, attended the darts competition at Alexandra Palace on December 13, 2025. He left at around 4.30pm and encountered a group of men in lobster outfits. They are believed to have had an argument before being separated by site security.
Attack on concourse
Shortly after, the victim ran into the group again on the venue’s concourse, where he was punched unconscious by one of the men.
The victim was taken to hospital. His injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening but serious, and he is understood to still be suffering with significant injuries.
Police appeal
Detective Constable Lizzie Coster, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim in this case, and we hope the best for his recovery. “This assault occurred outside at a major sporting event, and the suspect was wearing a distinctive costume. “We are releasing a CCTV image of the suspect in the hope that it will jog the memory of attendees, or anyone else who was in the area at the time.”
Anybody with information is urged to call 101, quoting 6879/13DEC.
