PayPoint and Lloyds' BankLocal service has completed more than one million customer transactions, marking the first anniversary of the industry-first partnership. The service allows customers to access banking services in PayPoint stores using the Lloyds app or with a debit card, offering greater choice in how they manage their money.
Nearly £170m deposited through retailers
Since launch, customers have deposited nearly £170m into their accounts through PayPoint retailers. Building on the success of the UK-wide service, PayPoint and Lloyds plan to expand card-enabled deposits to more locations across the UK.
This follows a recent increase to the withdrawal limit, with customers now able to take out up to £300. Many stores offering the service are open beyond traditional banking hours, and more than 60% of transactions have taken place outside Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Service launched in August 2025
PayPoint officially launched PayPoint | BankLocal cash deposits with Lloyds in August 2025, debuting the UK-first initiative in partnership with Lloyds Banking Group, including Lloyds and Bank of Scotland. The service continues to expand, with more locations planned across the UK.
