A life-changing sum of £4.7 million could be won in tonight's Lotto draw, which marks the second week of the new 'two chances to win' system.
How the New System Works
As of last week, every Lotto draw comprises two separate draws. However, players need not do anything differently; they are automatically entered into both draws with one ticket.
In the new Lotto game, players buy their £2 ticket in the usual manner. In the first round, a set of 59 balls is entered into the draw machine. Six balls are drawn plus the Bonus Ball. If you match two or more numbers from your Lotto line, you win some cash.
Then, a second set of 59 balls is entered into the second draw machine. Six balls are drawn plus the Bonus Ball, and the same rule applies: if you match two or more numbers from your same Lotto line, you win some cash.
Prizes
Matching six numbers in either draw wins a share of tonight's £4.7 million jackpot. Matching five numbers plus a bonus ball wins £1 million. And £1,000 is awarded to anyone who matches five main numbers.
Draw Times
The two draws are scheduled to take place at 8pm, with the Thunderball following shortly after at 8:15pm.
