Monzo, the popular online bank with over 13 million customers, offers a feature called Billsback that could see some of your monthly bills paid for you. The feature is available to customers with a Monzo Extra, Perks, or Max subscription, provided they pay their bills directly from their Monzo account.
Each month, Monzo randomly selects at least 1,000 bills to be paid back, up to £150 per bill. Eligible bills include any from the agreed providers list over £1, paid from a personal account via BACS Direct Debit or Mastercard card payments. Joint account holders can also benefit if at least one person is a subscriber and opted in.
You don't need to do anything to enter; if your bill is selected, Monzo automatically pays the amount back to your account. The full list of eligible providers includes major utilities like British Gas, EDF Energy, Thames Water, and Octopus Energy, as well as streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, and Spotify.
Other categories include mobile and broadband providers (e.g., BT, EE, Vodafone), gyms and health services (e.g., PureGym, Nuffield Health, Peloton), and insurance companies (e.g., Aviva, Direct Line, Admiral). The list is correct at the time of writing and can be viewed in the Monzo app.
