Bernal Commits to Barcelona
Barcelona prospect Marc Bernal has made it clear he intends to stay with his boyhood club, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo. The 19-year-old defensive midfielder recently enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, featuring in 22 league matches and earning his Spain debut. United are among several clubs that have expressed interest, alongside Arsenal, Chelsea, Roma, and Al-Nassr. However, Bernal has "absolute loyalty" to Barcelona and is under contract until 2029 with a release clause of £427m (€500m).
Zirkzee in Talks with Juventus
Manchester United are reportedly in discussions with Juventus over a deal that could see Joshua Zirkzee leave the club. The 25-year-old striker has struggled for consistency since his 2024 arrival from Bologna. The Sun reports that Zirkzee is a "top target" for Juve, who are leading the race. The clubs are "in talks" over a loan deal with a £30m obligation to buy. Juventus switched focus to Zirkzee after failing to sign PSG's Randal Kolo Muani, and the Netherlands international is said to be "keen" on joining. Zirkzee has made 75 appearances for United, scoring nine goals, and started one of his 10 games under Michael Carrick last season.
