A man was set upon by three youths in Glasgow city centre on Sunday, in an attack that happened outside the old Royal Bank of Scotland branch between St Enoch Square and Argyle Street.
Footage of the incident shows the man and a hooded thug throwing punches at one another. Another youth then races toward them and kicks the man's legs, and as he falls to the ground, a third youth gets off a bike and joins the assault.
The three youths repeatedly kick the man's body and head as he tries to get up from the pavement. Around 15 shoppers stand watching the brawl, but one woman eventually intervenes as the man manages to get back to his feet.
Flying kick aimed at man's back
As he moves to confront one of them, another thug runs up behind him, leaps off a bench and aims a flying kick at his back. The man reels forward before the clip ends, with more kicks and punches aimed at him as he disappears among a crowd of people.
Police response
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.40pm on Sunday, 2 August, 2026 police were called to a report of a disturbance involving two men in St Enoch Square, Glasgow. Officers attended, and following enquiries, no criminality was established. One man was taken to hospital for treatment for an injury sustained prior to the disturbance taking place."
