Tonight, Wednesday, July 8, the National Lottery Lotto draw offers a jackpot of £5 million. One lucky player could win the entire sum by matching all six main numbers drawn. However, smaller prizes are available for matching fewer numbers.
Prize Tiers and New Two-Round Format
Matching five main numbers plus the bonus ball wins £1,000,000, while matching five main numbers secures £1,750. Since last month, each Lotto draw now consists of two separate rounds, with all players automatically entered into both draws with a single ticket.
Players purchase their £2 ticket as usual. In the first round, 59 balls are entered into the draw machine; six balls and a Bonus Ball are drawn. Matching two or more numbers from your Lotto line wins cash. Then, a second set of 59 balls is used for the second draw, with the same rules applying.
Thunderball Draw and Timing
In addition to the Lotto jackpot, one person could win up to £500,000 in the Thunderball game, which takes place at 8.15pm, shortly after the Lotto draw at 8pm. Tickets must be purchased by 7.30pm and cost £2.
Lotto draws occur every Wednesday and Saturday, EuroMillions on Tuesday and Friday, and Set For Life every Monday and Thursday. The winning numbers for tonight's draws will be announced live below.
