The National Lottery has appealed for winners to come forward as nine major prizes, including two £1 million wins in Cheshire and Tameside, remain unclaimed. Winning ticket holders have around six months from the draw date to claim their cash, after which unclaimed funds are directed to the National Lottery's community fund for UK projects.
Unclaimed £1M Prizes in Cheshire and Tameside
One £1 million Lotto prize was won in a draw on July 1, with a ticket purchased in Tameside, Greater Manchester. The player matched five numbers plus the bonus ball. Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: "We’re urging anyone who may have bought a ticket in the Borough of Tameside for the Lotto draw on Wednesday 1 July to check their tickets carefully."
Another £1 million prize was won in a Lotto draw on July 4, where a player from Cheshire East secured the Millionaire Raffle prize. That winner has until December 31, 2026, to claim.
Other Notable Unclaimed Prizes
A Millionaire Maker winner from Hartlepool has a deadline of September 9, 2026, with the winning code JLZG 97793 from a draw on March 13. Three Set For Life prizes, each worth £10,000 a month for a year, were won on April 2, May 18, and June 11, with tickets purchased in Croydon, Amber Valley, and Northamptonshire.
A mega £12 million Lotto jackpot was won on June 6 by a player in Wales, with a claim deadline of December 3, 2026. Additional unclaimed prizes include EuroMillions wins of £58,409.30 from Dorset and £104,628.00 from Haringey, London.
