HSBC UK has announced a new £220 cash bonus for customers opening a current account through its mobile app. The offer, available from Monday, June 15, aims to attract new customers by providing a financial incentive alongside additional benefits.
Eligibility Criteria for the £220 Bonus
To qualify for the switching incentive, customers must meet the following conditions within 60 days of opening their account:
- Complete a full switch using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS), transferring at least two direct debits.
- Deposit a minimum of £2,000 into the new account.
- Spend £500 using the debit card linked to the account.
Once these requirements are satisfied, HSBC UK confirms that the bonus will be paid within 60 days.
Additional Account Benefits
Alongside the cash bonus, account holders gain access to the Global Money account, which allows for currency conversion, spending, and sending money in multiple currencies globally. Customers also enjoy a range of offers and discounts covering shopping, dining, and travel.

The account has a number of customer-only benefits, including access to Global Money, our multi-currency account offering our best exchange rates. Once new customers have switched their everyday banking to us and met the offer criteria, the bonus will be paid within 60 days."
Existing £500 Premier Offer Still Available
Separately, HSBC UK continues to offer a £500 welcome bonus for eligible Premier Bank Account customers. To qualify, customers must switch via CASS and satisfy account eligibility requirements, such as paying in an annual personal salary of £100,000 or more, or maintaining savings and investments of £100,000 or more with HSBC UK.
