Barclays has confirmed that its £200 switch offer, which required applications by May 28, has now ended. The bank recently issued the bonus to customers who successfully switched their current account to a Barclays Bank Account within the promotional period.
When asked about potential future incentives, a Barclays spokesperson stated: "We regularly review our products and offers to make sure they meet the needs of our customers, and we'll continue to assess opportunities in this space." The bank added that it keeps its propositions under constant review, considering customer feedback and a range of factors to ensure competitive options.
The update comes as other banks continue to launch similar switch deals. Nationwide Building Society, for instance, recently introduced a £175 switch offer alongside its Fairer Share scheme, which provides £100 payments to eligible members.
Separately, Barclays clarified its debit card renewal process following a customer inquiry on social media. The bank confirmed that new cards are sent out five weeks before the current card expires and can take up to seven working days to arrive. Customers can view their cards in the Barclays app by tapping 'Your cards' on the home screen.
