Two major charities have received a significant boost as organizers of a beauty pageant prepare for their moment in the spotlight. Miss GB Ayrshire will hold its grand final on Saturday, June 27, at Troon Concert Hall, and the event has already proven beneficial for vital causes.
Charity Brochures Raise Over £3,000
Charity brochures distributed to a packed audience on the night have generated more than £3,000 for Ayrshire Cancer Support and the Ayrshire Hospice. Kay Morgan, director of Miss GB Ayrshire, presented a donation of £3,260 alongside several finalists who will compete in Troon.
Morgan explained: "I chose these charities because my three best friends, Vari Beattie, Kay Cullen and Steve Fawcett, all used their facilities. Miss Great Britain Ayrshire is about so much more than a pageant. We are passionate about supporting our local community and raising funds for causes that make a genuine difference to people’s lives."
The funds were raised through the sale of charity brochures, kindly donated by Ayrshire Magazine, whose support helped make the fundraising initiative a success. "We are incredibly grateful to local businesses who supported this fundraising initiative and Ayrshire Magazine for their generous support," Morgan added.
Grand Final Preview
Attention now turns to the Grand Final, which will see three inaugural Ayrshire queens crowned in what promises to be a spectacular evening celebrating achievement, confidence, and community spirit.
