Aldi cuts prices on 330 items in £100m summer push

Aldi has cut the prices of hundreds of products across its UK stores as part of a £100million investment aimed at helping shoppers keep grocery bills down.

The supermarket giant confirmed that it has reduced the price of 330 items, with discounts applying to everyday essentials including fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household products and personal care items.

The latest move comes as many families face higher food bills during the school summer holidays, when children are at home and grocery spending often increases.

Biggest reductions on fruit, meat and more

Among the biggest reductions are savings on fresh fruit and vegetables, with Aldi cutting 40p from its four-pack of Nectarines and 22p from the price of Honeydew Melons.

Shoppers looking for meat will also see lower prices, with selected British steaks reduced by 80p. Aldi's 21-Day Matured Sirloin Steak now costs £4.49, while its 21-Day Matured Ribeye Steak has been reduced to £4.59.

Elsewhere, Aldi's Specially Selected Cheddar cheeses (350g) have fallen by 40p to £2.99, while Diced Chicken Breast (600g) now costs £3.99 after a 30p price cut.

Filled Pasta has also been reduced by 30p and is now priced at £2.19.

Savings beyond food

The savings are not limited to food. Aldi has also cut the price of its Lacura SPF50+ Sensitive Lotion by 30p, bringing it down from £3.29 to £2.99.

The supermarket said the latest reductions mean it has now lowered the prices of more than 1,000 products so far this year. Aldi has invested a total of £300million in price cuts during 2026 as it looks to keep everyday shopping as affordable as possible.

Commitment to affordability

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “It’s never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable.

“We’re committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer.”

The latest announcement comes after Aldi was named Which? Cheapest Supermarket for the fifth year running. The retailer said it has also held the title for eight consecutive months, even when competitors' loyalty prices are taken into account.

Aldi was also recently named Which?'s Best Value Brand of the Year in recognition of its value and product quality.

The price cuts follow the return of Aldi's Summer Support Scheme, which is giving away £50 grocery shops to families every day throughout July and August as part of the supermarket's wider effort to help customers save money.
