Two Newcastle restaurants have been shortlisted for the Best in the North East and Yorkshire title at the 2026 Uber Eats Awards. Dot Bagel, located on Chillingham Road in Heaton, and Geisha, an Asian cuisine restaurant in Benton, are among five finalists vying for the regional accolade. The winner will be determined by public vote, making local support crucial.

The shortlist also includes Souvlaki Corner in Leeds, the Wetherby Whaler in North Yorkshire, and Bradford's Shimlas. Dot Bagel and Geisha represent Newcastle’s diverse food scene, with Dot Bagel known for its bagels and Geisha for its Pan-Asian menu and Instagram-worthy decor.
