Tesco Launches Clubcard for 16 and 17-Year-Olds with Parental Invite
Tesco Launches Clubcard for Teens Aged 16-17

Tesco Clubcard Now Available for Teenagers

Tesco has launched a new version of its Clubcard specifically for 16 and 17-year-olds, the supermarket giant announced on Wednesday, June 24. The new “Clubcard for 16-17s” allows teenagers in this age group to sign up for the loyalty scheme’s lower prices and collect Clubcard points, which can be converted into vouchers for money off at the checkout.

Parental Invitation Required

To join the scheme, the teenager must be invited by a parent or guardian using their own Clubcard account. This ensures that the young person can access the benefits while remaining linked to an existing account holder.

Tesco Group membership and loyalty director Shama Wilson said: “We are delighted to be giving younger customers access to Tesco Clubcard for the first time, and we have no doubt that it will prove popular with 16 and 17-year-olds, whether they are shopping in one of our ‘big Tesco’ or ‘little Tesco’ stores.”

Benefits for Young Shoppers

Wilson added: “From today our new Clubcard for 16-17s members will not only be able to get Clubcard Prices in-store, including our iconic Tesco lunchtime meal deal for just £3.85, but also collect points that they can turn into vouchers for money off their in-store shopping.”

The move marks the first time Tesco has offered Clubcard access to customers under 18, expanding the loyalty programme to a younger demographic. The initiative is expected to encourage early brand loyalty and provide teenagers with savings on everyday purchases.
