Sky Sports is launching a new feature called Your Multiview, which will allow Premier League fans to watch four different live events on one television screen at the same time. The technology debuts this week as the Premier League season kicks off.
How Your Multiview Works
Your Multiview splits the screen into four, enabling viewers to watch multiple channels simultaneously. For example, fans could watch an Arsenal game alongside a Manchester City match while keeping an eye on a cricket Test and Grand Prix racing. The feature is designed to put fans in greater control of the action as it happens, responding to the growing trend of 'double screening'—watching a football match on TV while scanning other sports on a phone.
Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, said: “There’s more live sport for fans to enjoy than ever, and we want to make it as easy as possible to follow all the action. With ‘Your Multiview’, viewers no longer have to choose between the biggest moments happening across multiple channels. It could be two exciting football matches happening at the same time, or Super Sunday coinciding with a Grand Prix and the final day of a golf Major.”
Launch Details and Additional Features
Your Multiview launches tomorrow (Friday) ahead of the return of the Premier League, with champions Arsenal taking on newly promoted Coventry at the Emirates Stadium in north London. The feature will be available on Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q, as well as the Now streaming service.
Alongside Your Multiview, Sky is introducing a Sports Hub that allows viewers to see live scores, stats, tables, schedules, short-form clips, and highlights at the side of the screen while watching the main match. Users can also browse short-form sports videos in a new autoplay, scrollable experience covering the latest news, highlights, key moments, and stories from teams, leagues, and competitions. Team Pages will aggregate everything about a favourite team in one place, from live games and headlines to highlights, replays, and YouTube videos.
