Rangers Target Palermo Keeper Sebastiano Desplanches

Rangers are monitoring Palermo goalkeeper Sebastiano Desplanches, according to Sky Sport Italia. The 23-year-old former Italy Under-21 international is also a target for Norwich City, now managed by ex-Rangers boss Philippe Clement.

Desplanches' Career and Achievements

Desplanches began his career in the youth academies of Inter and AC Milan before moving to Vicenza. He joined Palermo three years ago and has had loan spells at Trento and Pescara, where he made 27 appearances last season. The 6-foot-2 shot-stopper won the Golden Glove at the 2023 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, where Italy finished as runners-up to Uruguay.

Butland Swap Deal Rumors

Talk of Desplanches emerges amid reports that Rangers are willing to offload Jack Butland in a straight swap for Hull City's Ivor Pandur. The Croatian goalkeeper, currently on World Cup duty, is valued at around £10 million.
