Pixie Cakes Expands to Swansea Marina Second Location

A successful cake shop has announced it is to open its second location in Swansea. Pixies Cakes & Coffee, which has built up a loyal following of customers at its base in Gower Road in the Killay area of the city, will now also be serving people visiting the marina.

Owner of the business Jayde Brown has announced she will be taking over the running of Coast Cafe in Trawler Road, which we reported on Thursday is to close its doors on July 5 after 12 years in business.

Pixies Cakes & Coffee is popular for its array of indulgent handmade cakes, milkshakes, coffees, toasties, and bagels. Ms Brown described the opening of her second venue as the realisation of "hard work and passion".

She said: "If you’d told me a few years ago that we’d be here I honestly wouldn’t have believed you. What started as a dream, fuelled by long days, early mornings, late nights, endless baking, and the support of our amazing customers, has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined.

"There have been moments of doubt, moments of exhaustion, and moments where giving up would have been easier. But every coffee ordered, every cake enjoyed, every kind word and recommendation has helped us get here.

"This second shop isn’t just another location. It’s proof that hard work, passion, and a community that believes in you can create something truly special."

She added: "From the bottom of my heart thank you for supporting our small business – thank you for choosing us, cheering us on, and being part of this journey. We can’t wait to welcome you through the doors of our newest chapter. Here’s to taking a leap, chasing dreams, and opening shop number two."
