Monklands site manager wins NHBC Pride in the Job award

Robert Hamilton, site manager at Barratt Homes' Lennox Gardens development in Glenboig, Monklands, has been honoured at the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards, often described as the 'Oscars' of the housebuilding industry. He is among a select group of site managers nationwide to receive the accolade after a rigorous judging process involving thousands of inspections across the country.

Award recognises exceptional standards

The award recognises exceptional standards in site management, leadership, and build quality, highlighting the crucial role site managers play in delivering high-quality new homes safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Site managers pass on their skills to their teams and mentor assistant site managers, helping drive up quality standards across the industry.

Robert, who has worked with Barratt Homes for eight years, said: "I'm incredibly proud to receive this award. Pride in the Job is one of the most respected recognitions in our industry, so to be named among the country's top site managers is a real honour. Delivering high-quality homes requires a relentless focus on standards, attention to detail and teamwork every day, and this award reflects the commitment of everyone working on site at Lennox Gardens. We all share the same goal of building homes that our customers can be proud of for years to come."

Barratt Redrow tops national awards table

Robert's success contributed to a standout year for Barratt Homes parent company Barratt Redrow, whose site managers secured 122 Pride in the Job awards — more than any other UK housebuilder. This marks the 22nd consecutive year the leading housebuilder has topped the national awards table, underlining its continued focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Andy Curran, managing director of Barratt Homes West Scotland, said: "Robert's award recognition is a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved. Pride in the Job recognises the very best site managers in the UK, and Robert has consistently demonstrated the leadership, technical expertise and attention to detail that set outstanding professionals apart. The quality of the homes delivered at our Barratt Homes at Lennox Gardens development is a direct reflection of Robert's commitment to excellence and the high standards he sets for everyone on site. We are extremely proud to see his hard work recognised on a national stage, and this award highlights the important role he plays in delivering exceptional homes for our customers."

Five-star customer rating

Earlier this year, Barratt Redrow also achieved a five-star rating from its customers in the HBF Customer Satisfaction Survey, which recognises both build quality and excellence in customer care. This is the 17th year in a row that Barratt Redrow customers have rated it a five-star housebuilder, underlining the company's long-term commitment to customer satisfaction.
